Wien-Lobau Station is located on the left bank of the Danube in the eastern part of Vienna, in an area that is quite industrial and doesn’t have much to offer to tourists. Adjacent train (S-Bahn) stations are Praterkai (on the other bank of the Danube) and Stadlau. Major streets near Lobau Station are Raffineriestrasse and Am Kaisermühlendamm.
There are no hotels directly around Lobau Train Station. The nearest places with at least a few hotels are Stadlau (the next S-Bahn station) and the streets around Kaisermühlen Metro Station and Vienna International Centre. You will find much more accommodation options on the other side of the Danube in Vienna city centre. Many good hotels are located near Praterstern Station, near the entrance to Prater Amusement Park, about halfway between Vienna International Centre and Innere Stadt. The highest concentration of hotels (as well as tourist attractions, restaurants, shops, and other places of interest) is of course in Vienna Inner City – for example near the Imperial Palace Hofburg, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, or Museums Quarter.
