Herrengasse Station, Wien Innere Stadt

Herrengasse Station on U-Bahn line U3 is the closest station to the Imperial Palace, Hofburg. It is located at the junction of Herrengasse and Fahnengasse behind the Imperial Palace northern section, just a few steps from the famous Spanish Riding School (Spanische Hofreitschule). Other nearby landmarks include Michaelerkirche (at Michaelerplatz) and Minoritenkirche (at Minoritenplatz). Other streets near Herrengasse Station are Wallnerstrasse, Landhausgasse, and Schauflergasse. Nevertheless, these are only the closest places (within 2 minutes walk); the concentration of landmarks, churches, and little narrow streets in Vienna Inner City is very high and distances are short.
