Schottentor, like the whole Inner City, is full of hotels of various styles. Some are historical, some are modern, some are family-operated, and others are run by international hotel chains. There are dozens of hotels within 5 minutes walk from Schottentor Station, among them some of Vienna’s best 5 star hotels, but you will also find many good 3 star and 4 star hotels.
Schottentor (and Innere Stadt in general) is not a budget hotel district. You can find a few 2 star hotels in Alser Strasse, about 7 minutes walk from Schottentor Station. More cheap hotels are located near Rathaus Station (the next stop on metro line U2).
