Shopping City Süd, commonly known as SCS to the locals, is situated in the south suburbs of Vienna in Vösendorf.

Shopping City Süd currently has about 330 shops and employs 4,500 people. Today it is the largest shopping centre in Austria with leaseable area of 225,800 square metres and total sales area of 270,000 square metres.

History of Shopping City Süd in brief

The shopping centre was founded already in 1976 by Austrian entrepreneur Hans Dujsik. Then it was significantly expanded in 1988. The multiplex was opened in 1994. In May 2008 Shopping City Süd was overtaken by Unibail-Rodamco (a Dutch real estate investor) for 607 million euros.
