Wien Leopoldau Station is a railway station and metro (U-Bahn) station in the northern part of Vienna (Floridsdorf district). Leopoldau Station is the terminal station of U-Bahn line U1, which connects this area with Vienna International Centre (VIC), Donauinsel, Praterstern, and Inner City. Major streets near Wien Leopoldau Station include Thayagasse, Schererstrasse, Seyringer Strasse, and Adolf-Loos-Gasse.
Leopoldau Station is quite far from Vienna city centre, and though it has good public transport access, it is not a common place to stay for tourists and visitors of Vienna. There are very few hotels close to Leopoldau Station. More hotels are situated near UNO City (Kaisermühlen Station) and Donauinsel, about 15 minutes by metro (direct connection on line U1) from Wien Leopoldau Station. In Vienna city centre, you should be fine even when booking only a few days before arrival, except peak tourist periods, national holidays, and big cultural events, when most hotels are fully booked.
