Margaretengürtel U-Bahn station is located at the intersection of Linke Wienzeile and Margaretengürtel (streets), between the Vienna River and Bruno-Kreisky-Park, near the border of Vienna’s 5th, 6th, and 12th district (Margareten, Mariahilf, and Meidling). Another big nearby street is Schönbrunner Strasse (the street running from Vienna inner city to Schönbrunn Palace). Neighbouring stations on U-Bahn line U4 are Längenfeldgasse (interchange with U6) and Pilgramgasse Station.
Margaretengürtel is outside the city centre, though it only takes 5 minutes by metro to get there. The number of hotels near Margaretengürtel Station is significantly lower compared to the centre. Most hotels are 3 star or 4 star hotels and overall room rates can be a bit lower than in the Inner City.
If you want to stay closer to Vienna Inner City, you can search hotels near any of the other U4 stations following Margaretengürtel in the city centre direction.
