There is a direct bus connection between Milan, Italy and Vienna, operated by Eurolines, the European alliance of long distance bus operators. Travel time between Milan and Vienna is usually 14-15 hours and buses generally go overnight. On the way the bus stops in Brescia, Verona, and Graz.
According to current (August 2011) schedule published on Eurolines Austria official website, there is one pair of buses weekly between Milan and Vienna (the night from Friday to Saturday from Vienna to Milan; the night from Sunday to Monday from Milan to Vienna). Additional buses are available in the summer season.
One way bus ticket from Milan to Vienna is EUR 58, return ticket is for EUR 104. There is a little discount for people under 26 years and significant (50%) discount for children under 12.
